If the target of this beautiful app is to give a comfortably support when you search and want to see a film, the best way is to allow the user to organize the archive in his own custom way. For example:
The app decides how and where to scan on my PC to identifies movies an add them to a library.
Is possible to add manually the right path and not others to decide what I really want to see on line or not?
Or making possible to rescan from the beginning like the first time but with my inquiring conditions?
